Animal Attendant Ashleigh

Vet Nurse Placeholder

Meet Ashley, Animal Attendant

Ashleigh has always known she would want to pursue a career caring for animals. She grew up on a farm with a variety of different animals her family owned. As she worked alongside animals both large and small on a daily basis, this naturally inspired her to pursue an education in animal care. Ashleigh has started her journey within the vet industry later in life, but after doing a few jobs involving horses, and then studying animal welfare for over a year, she has guided her own path into the industry. This has successfully led her to land a position with The Unusual Pet Vets as our Animal Attendant. Since joining us at UPV Jindalee, Ashleigh had worked hard to complete her Cert 3 in Animal Care Services at Tafe. She is now in the process of studying to obtain her Cert 4 qualification in Veterinary Nursing.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work hours, Ashleigh loves to spend her time with friends & family, but is also a homebody. You will find her most of the time drinking a good coffee, riding horses, bush walking with her dogs or at home playing around with her gorgeous pythons!

Owned Pets

Ashleigh has both scaly and fury pets she shares her life with. She has two beautiful Spotted Pythons, Sable & Ghost, two crazy Kelpies, Allie & Freya, three beautiful rescue cats & four horses.

Cannot speak highly enough of the caring and lovely staff at UPV Osborne Park. Particularly to Dr Kelly for the wonderful treatment and compassion she displayed caring for my much loved Bugz. Definitely recommend this practice. Simply the Best.

It’s a great vet for exotic pets, we would like to thank Dr Kiara and the nurses for all the help they have done for the bunnies especially when they have been unwell.

Excellent service, caring and professional advice, and very good handling for our pet bird, on our first visit today at The Unusual Pet Vets, Jindalee. Very helpful, and they also provided further reading for us via email after our appointment regarding a few things we asked about. All staff were lovely and friendly – from the initial phone booking (you can do internet bookings too) to and including the consult. Thank you very much – we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.
