Q: What Is Included In The Package?

Comprehensive Health Check-Up: A full physical examination and general health check-up is included. DNA or Surgical Sexing: Either DNA (through a drop of blood sent to an external lab) or surgical sexing (using an endoscope to surgically enter the body and visualise the gonads under anaesthesia) is included. Microchipping and Registration: Microchip implantation and lifetime registration on a national database is included.

Q: Is There Anything Else I Need To Know?

This package has been designed for breeders or those with large collections, as such we require a minimum of 3 birds to be booked in at a time (on the same day) to be eligible for the discounted package price. Please also note that while DNA sexing can be performed on any parrot, surgical sexing is only appropriate for larger species.

If our FlyStart Package doesn’t meet your requirements, you can customise the Large Parrot Breeder Package by including additional tests upon request to the vet. We intentionally kept this option open, enabling breeders and owners with large collections to select specific tests as per their needs. We are more than willing to discuss and recommend the most suitable options during your visit.
