Vet Nurse Leonie (They/Them)

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, APVN (Exotics), RVN 

Leonie has been working in general practice vet clinics since 2010, later completing their Certificate IV in 2014. Since 2018 they have been working as an exotics vet nurse for the unusual pet vets, at the Peninsula practice, working with a whole range of exotic animals.

Leonie is passionate about reptile and bird husbandry, enrichment and pain management and has written and presented papers on reptile welfare at multiple conferences.

Owned Pets

At home, Leonie enjoys the company of a cat named Sora, a Netherland Dwarf bunny called Richmond and eight Green Tree Frogs.

Excellent service, caring and professional advice, and very good handling for our pet bird, on our first visit today at The Unusual Pet Vets, Jindalee. Very helpful, and they also provided further reading for us via email after our appointment regarding a few things we asked about.
