Meet Vet Nurse Amber
Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing and Bsc in Environmental Biology
I started studying Vet Nursing half way through my bachelor’s degree as a way to compliment my volunteer work with wildlife and to also become an advocate for wildlife within domestic clinics. However little did I know I would fall in love with Vet nursing. I spent a few years as a domestic vet nurse in Perth WA before making the big move to Queensland in 2019 to work at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital and mix my passions for Nursing and Wildlife.
Outside of work you will find me tending to my plants, spending some quality time with my bird “Morky” and exploring the beautiful tracks and hikes surrounding the sunshine coast and just generally soaking up the beauty of nature. Caring for and carrying out wildlife rescue. I also enjoy taking on random art and craft activities, photography and eating good food!
I am a proud pet parent to a Western Corella called Morky, two Galah’s called Quinnoa and Lola, and two feline friends called Ninny and Marm.
