Dr William GrechDr William Grech

BVSc MANZCVS (Unusual Pets, Avian medicine)

Dr William spent his childhood in Malta before moving to Australia in 2008. He had a keen interest in animals from an early age, and started out birdwatching and chasing reptiles around the garden. Keeping a variety of pets, particularly unusual ones was a big part of  William’s upbringing.

Moving to Australia as a teenager put pursuing a career in the veterinary profession within reach. Since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2015, William has worked in Canberra for the last 5 years in a small animal practice with a high caseload of exotic and unusual pets.

Dr William is a member of a few professional organisations, including the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians and the Unusual Pets and Avian special interest group within the AVA. He is also a member of the ANZCVS in Unusual pets and Avian medicine and surgery.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, William enjoys hiking, camping, photography and gardening.

Owned Pets

William is a proud pet parent of two Labradors, Bailey and Brodie and two Diamond Pythons.
