Dr Kelly Giles
BVSc BVMS Hons. MANZCVS (Avian Medicine & Surgery)
Dr Kelly graduated from Murdoch University in 2016 and has worked exclusively with exotic animals since. In 2022 Dr Kelly received her memberships in Avian Medicine and Surgery, joining the ranks of the limited few avian veterinarians across Australia.
In 2023, Dr Kelly made the move from our Perth clinics to our new Canberra clinic. She has a special interest in avian and aquatic medicine, as she gew up with many birds, turtles, and fish. One very special bird – Sunnie the Sun Conure – is described as Dr Kelly’s “best friend” and is who drove Dr Kelly to work with birds.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of the clinic, Dr Kelly lectures at Murdoch University in exotic medicine and is passionate about education. In her spare time Dr Kelly is known to binge entire fantasy books and manga in a single day, and is a self-described nerd.
Owned Pets
Dr Kelly shares her home with turtles, fish, birds, guinea pigs and now a dog and cat.
