Vet Nurse, Alesha (She/Her)
AVN (Associate Degree of Veterinary Nursing)
Alesha has always had a soft spot for all the unusual and unique animals. From a very young age, Alesha grew up surrounded by many yabbies, birds and fish, telling everyone within earshot that she would work amongst these fun creatures one day. This enthusiasm further developed when she started volunteering at a wildlife shelter from the age of 16, providing care and support to a range of Australian wildlife, including kangaroos, possums and wombats.
After finishing high school, Alesha went on to complete her Associate Degree of Veterinary Nursing, beginning a career working in an exotics-only veterinary clinic in 2019 and has been living that dream ever since.
Alesha has a strong interest in avian and aquatic medicine and husbandry, with a strong drive to collaborate with and educate clients on providing the best care possible for their feathered and scaled friends. She also has a deep love for providing care to injured and orphaned native wildlife.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, Alesha enjoys cuddling up with a book, her dog and an iced latte or heading out to the bush to go camping. You will also find Alesha out and about, engaged in wildlife rescue on her days off.
Owned Pets
Alesha is the proud parent to one crazy Cavoodle named Archie and a flock of feathered friends.
