Practice Manager Erin (She/Her)

APVN(exotics), DipVNZS, Cert IV, RVN

Erin’s journey in veterinary care started in 2011 at a general practice vet clinic, where she completed her Certificate IV in vet nursing. In 2015, Erin started working as a reptile vet nurse with our very own Dr Shane and began stepping into her love for working with exotics.

Erin began working with the Peninsula Unusual Pet Vets team when the clinic opened in 2018, and she particularly enjoys all aspects of reptile medicine, surgery and care.

Since working with UPV, Erin has completed her Girling & Fraser course on exotics and zoo species. Alongside her expanding knowledge, Erin has become a registered vet nurse.

Hobbies and Interests

Erin enjoys cycling (both on and off-road), paddleboarding, live music and reading in her spare time. She likes to try her hands at many other hobbies, such as photography, skateboarding, insect preservation and gardening. Her favourite tree at home is a baby Wollemi Pine, and she enjoys growing Australian natives and Sunflowers.

Family and Pets

At home, Erin has a primary school-aged son, one lazy hound called Cashew, three different species of geckos (one named Mad Boy), a cheeky conure called Petrie and four Green Tree Frogs.
