Vet Nurse Whitney

Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing

Whitney has been working in the veterinary industry for nearly 3 years and became a qualified Vet Nurse at the end of 2024. She has gained insightful experience in GP, Emergency and a current Speciality clinic.

Whitney has a strong passion for anaesthesia and the intricacies for each individual patient. She strives for gold standard patient care and open communication between staff and clients. With an endless desire to learn and a love for patients with scales, it has lead Whitney to join the UPV team.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work Whitney enjoys trivia nights with friends, taking the dogs on adventures and curling up with a good book.

Owned Pets

It’s safe to say Whitney’s home is full of personality—and pets! Meet her furry (and scaly) family:

Manuel (Manny) – A 7-year-old neutered Border Collie x Bull Arab who’s a certified sook and loves his cuddles.

Kora – A 3-year-old desexed Cane Corso x Staffy with a goofy personality and plenty of charm

Noodle – A 13-year-old Albino Darwin Carpet Python who slithers through life gracefully.

Meeko – A 6-year-old neutered Turkish Angora, a sweet yet mischievous fluffball living with HCM and Polycystic Kidney Disease

Mary – A 6-year-old desexed Domestic Short Hair, a tiny 2.9kg boss who keeps everyone in line.

Whitney’s love for animals knows no bounds, and her diverse pet family is a testament to her passion for all creatures great and small.

Cannot speak highly enough of the caring and lovely staff at UPV Osborne Park. Particularly to Dr Kelly for the wonderful treatment and compassion she displayed caring for my much loved Bugz. Definitely recommend this practice. Simply the Best.

It’s a great vet for exotic pets, we would like to thank Dr Kiara and the nurses for all the help they have done for the bunnies especially when they have been unwell.

Gretel – Thankyou for all the tips and advice on what and what not to do with the bunnies.

We will definitely be recommending to all our exotic animal friends.

Excellent service, caring and professional advice, and very good handling for our pet bird, on our first visit today at The Unusual Pet Vets, Jindalee. Very helpful, and they also provided further reading for us via email after our appointment regarding a few things we asked about. All staff were lovely and friendly – from the initial phone booking (you can do internet bookings too) to and including the consult. Thank you very much – we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.
