Trainee Veterinary Nurse Melissa (She/Her)
Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology)
Driven by her lifelong fascination with animals, Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Science (Zoology) in 2015, aspiring to work as a big cat keeper with a Zoological facility. However, after spending 5 years volunteering with reptiles, she developed an interest in animals of the more unusual variety, even getting a lizard of her own; a bearded dragon named Dart. After experiencing the care and knowledge of everyone at UPV, Melissa decided that this is the path that she wanted to follow and begun a bachelor’s degree in veterinary nursing in 2023.
Hobbies and Interests
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the theatre and a good book. Can usually be found with a coffee in hand, quoting Gilmore Girls and listening to Taylor Swift.

Melissa shares her home a feline friend called Willow.
