Trainee Veterinary Nurse Katie (She/Her)
Katie grew up in central Victoria, born with a passion for animals. She was always outside spending time with her Dad and helping him care for various farm animals, including her guinea pigs. Striving always to provide more enrichment and better care, she found her way working at a pet shop, then boarding kennels, and finally into the Veterinary industry, where she is studying nursing.
Hobbies and Interests
When Katie is not working with animals, she spends time with her family and animals at home. She enjoys illustrating, writing and playing the piano. While not straying from a challenge, building her own computer to play games with her friends and family. She hopes to be able to contribute to the education of animal care through a series of children’s books.
Owned Pets
Katie shares her home with Isabelle, the German Shepherd, and Diesel, the Cane Corso. Katie lives for her six guinea pigs, Ronald, Babka & Freyja, Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Along with a blind rabbit named Peter, her three budgies named Purdy, Pongo and Karl, and finally, a tropical fish setup tailored to her six clown loaches.
