Katrina – Receptionist
I have always had a passion for nature and the healing arts. I enjoyed an idyllic childhood growing up on a mini-farm in the Hills. My Dad is a vet so I was immersed in the industry early. A small rebellion saw me completing a Bachelor of Arts/Science majoring in Zoology, Botany & Philosophy, after which I found myself back in the veterinary industry working as a veterinary nurse in the city.
I then married my gorgeous husband and moved back to the Hills to raise our beautiful three children and became a Reiki Master. Venturing back into the conventional workforce I picked up a receptionist gig at The Melbourne Rabbit Clinic where I have spent the last nine years working with an amazing team and meeting so many lovely clients, rabbits & guinea pigs.
With Melbourne Rabbit Clinic joining The Unusual Pet Vets family, I am very excited to have the opportunity to continue my receptionist position and embark on a journey into the world of exotic pets!
Hobbies and Interest
Home is where the heart is and I can honestly say I am happiest when hanging out with my family. I absolutely love being in my garden too and find gardening very rewarding and relaxing. I also love mountain biking and sailing. I am an active member of the Selby Conservation Reserve land care group. I also have a keen interest in the healing arts; Reiki, crystal healing and aromatherapy in particular.
Owned Pet
I currently have a very opinionated pussy cat called Tessa Gray, 5 cheeky chickens, and a tankful of tropical fish.
