Dr Tegan Hunt
Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons)
Dr Tegan wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she could remember. Animals have always held a very important place in her life. Tegan graduated in 2016 from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and has worked as an emergency veterinarian for 5 years. However, she has been wanting to pursue a career with exotic animals.
Exotics have always interested her, so working with the unusual pet vets is an exciting opportunity. She loves all creatures but particularly loves cheeky bearded dragons.
Hobbies and Interest
Outside of work, Tegan likes to go hiking and outdoor lead climbing. She enjoys indoor bouldering during the week and has met some amazing humans in the climbing community. If Tegan is not outdoors, she’ll be at home with my two dogs watching a comedy movie.
Tegan is a proud pet parent to Doink the 4 year old Cocker Spaniel. He hits his head on everything, so he was named after the noise made from his head contacting any surface. She also has Moose, the 3.5-year-old Cavoodle. Moose is naughty but loves his mum.
